Hariprasad Chaurasia a renowned Indian classical flautist started learning vocal music from his neighbor, Pandit Rajaram, at the age of 15. Later, he approached Pandit Bholanath Prasanna another renowned artist of Varanasi to teach him to play Flute.
But Pandit Bholanath had laid a condition to take Hariprasad as his student and the condition was Hariprasad has to forget whatever he has learned till now in playing flute. Now Hariprasad is clueless how can anybody forget what he has learned and sounded logically impossible? But Hariprasad was very adamant and determined to learn from Pandit Bholanath.
Later he came up with an Idea of switching to play the flute from the Left hand side from the usual Right hand side and gathered tutelage under Panditji for 8 years to become a flute ecstasy.
